Middlesex Bindery

Massachusetts re-opening phase 2

On June 8, Massachusetts begins phase 2 of Governor Baker's 4-phase approach to reopening. Mayor Walsh's 9pm to 6am curfew in Boston remains in effect. I, personally, remain subject to the "stay at home" advisory .

A few test trips to Lowell over the last week has shown the safety of the T is spotty. Some (most) of the problem is the fault the public about which little can be done, but some is because of the T itself, and in particular, Keolis Commuter Services. Additionally, the management of the mill building in which the bindery is located has not yet finalized their re-opening plans and so remains closed to the public. (I expect that to change this week.)

In light of all of this, I cannot promise to be open on any particular day or at any particular hour. If I run into any difficulty on the subway, train, or weather, I will not be open that day. The train is still on a Saturday schedule which is every 2 hours. So my plan is that, on the days I am able to make it, I will be open at either 9:00 am or 11:00 am, and close at 2:00 pm or 4:00 pm. In order to assure everyone's safety, during those hours, you must have an appointment to visit. Subject to change, the procedure going forward is:

All of this is subject to change, of course. Please stay safe and healthy.
